Jyotish (Jyotiṣa) is the Vedic science of astrology. The jyotiṣa natal chart, or astrological chart, is a blueprint of a person's karma or actions in this lifetime, and we can identify specific cycles of time that may influence these actions in supportive ways.
In this mini-reading, I will introduce you to Vedic astrology and uncover some simple aspects of your chart, such as your lagna (ascendant), moon nakṣatra (star constellation), and the specific cycles of time (daśās) that you're running. This is an educational reading vs. predictive. I'll introduce you to your chart visually and explain some of the fundamental differences between Vedic and western astrology, and how you can bring attention or awareness to some of the prominent placements or time cycles in your chart (historically and/or in the coming year) to cultivate a deeper understanding of how the planets interweave with your experience.
