After moving to NYC in 2014, my IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) flared-up intensely and I was unable to digest most foods. My symptoms included nausea, consistent bloating and diarrhea, which progressively worsened over the years. I was also diagnosed with pre-diabetes and hypothyroidism. These symptoms and diagnoses caused me great frustration both socially and internally.
Enter Āyurveda, which incorporates emotional as well as physical well-being. The practices from āyurveda helped me to ground in my body again and align with the rhythms of nature to strengthen my digestive fire, which includes both physical and mental metabolism. After experiencing āȳurveda's benefits in my personal life, I was inspired to dive deeper into this Vedic science and share its wealth with others. I trained at Kerala Academy in the U.S. and I continue my studies under the Raju family, based in Hyderabad and Delhi.
